A Conceptual Consent Request Framework for Mobile Devices

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) identifies consent as one of the legal bases for personal data processing and requires that it should be freely given, specific, informed, unambiguous, understandable, easily revocable. Unfortunately, current technical mechanisms obtaining often do not comply with these requirements. conceptual request framework mobile devices is presented in this paper, addresses issue by following GDPR requirements on offering a unified user interface apps. proposed evaluated via development City Explorer app four approaches (custom, functionality-based, app-based, usage-based) integrated into it. evaluation shows functionality-based consent, which was app, achieved best results highest average system usability scale (SUS) score. also scored number SUS points among templates when separately from app. Additionally, we discuss framework’s reusability its integration other apps different contexts.
